It all started with the Atari 2600 and the iconic game Pitfall. I was immediately hooked on the thrill of adventure and the challenge of mastering a new game. As I progressed, I discovered the joys of the NES and the incredible worlds of Super Mario Bros. and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. These games captivated me with their colorful graphics, imaginative storylines, and catchy music. As I grew older, I moved on to the Super Nintendo and delved into more complex games like Final Fantasy. I spent countless hours exploring fantastical worlds, battling fierce enemies, and leveling up my characters.
Eventually, I took a break from gaming to focus on my studies at San Francisco State University, where I earned my Bachelor's of Accountancy. After graduation, I landed a job at a small CPA firm in Oakland, where I put my accounting skills to work. But even as I worked long hours and balanced the demands of a busy career, I never forgot my love of gaming. When the Nintendo Switch was released, I couldn't resist the urge to pick it up and dive back into the world of video games. Today, I balance my work as a tax accountant with my love of gaming, finding joy and relaxation in exploring new games and revisiting old favorites.
After working at the small CPA firm in Oakland for a while, I realized that I wanted to take my career to the next level by becoming an enrolled agent. I spent a year studying hard for the Special Enrollment Exams, determined to pass all three parts. When I finally did, it was a huge accomplishment and I was filled with excitement for the next phase of my career. I wanted to combine my love of gaming with my passion for accounting, and decided to start my own firm, Mega Nerd Tax Services. This was the perfect way for me to create a business that felt authentic to my life and my interests. Today, I am proud to offer specialized tax services to fellow gaming enthusiasts, and I continue to find joy in balancing these two passions.
